I am very grateful for the new opportunity in a new environment. It is exciting to be able to learn new things everyday while helping people all at the same time.
I love my drive to work, especially now since the hot air balloons are back up in the sky! I love seeing them =)
They started a running program at Meridian Elementary where the kids get “hole punches” in feet for each lap they take around the field. They have teams, they don’t need to run together but whenever anyone from the team runs the hole punches get pooled for the rest of the team. I got to run a bit this morning with them and it was great to see how excited they were to run and to help their team out!
Saturday was pretty windy, so we were able to walk to the park and fly our kites. It was just great to get outside, enjoy the weather and feel like a kid again.
I was so grateful to spend the weekend with Scott, my friend of over 20 years! I flew to North Carolina, we did some brewery tours, found a car show, watched basketball, but more than anything just chillaxed with him and his awesome family. I am so grateful to have a friend that we can re-connect like we were neighbors even when we don’t see each other for years. Great times, great friend!
or at least what started out as rain… I love walks in the rain, things would be boring if it was sunny out everyday.
I am reading a book titled “Daring Greatly” by Brene Brown. It is a great book about being vulnerable and true courage isn’t hiding behind shame or an ideal, it’s about being yourself and loving others from that standpoint. It is a great book and I am grateful for the recommendation to read it from a friend!
