I am so grateful for another new year! Casey and I started planning a few things for the new year and I cant wait to see what 2015 will have in store for us! Excited to grow and experience lots of new things =)
I can’t believe it’s already New Years Eve. As I look back, 2014 was a great year. We started our year continuing our first year of marriage in Florida. In February, my sister came out to visit and we went on a cruise to Mexico, Belize, and Honduras. We were finally able to move home to Colorado in April. I moved up to Broomfield from Highlands Ranch and we started our life together at home. In July, we lost my aunt. However, I am so grateful that she passed peacefully and was able to see almost all her family and friends before she left. In September after almost a year and half of marriage, we were finally able to celebrate with our friends and families with a wedding reception. I started a job that I loved in November. 2014 was such a wonderful year, but I have a feeling that 2015 will be even better. Looking forward to more adventures, learning experiences, and growth.
I am grateful for all the people in my life that bring me happiness. Whether it be a kind word, a silly message (like my aunt left me this morning), a smile, or a hug. I’m grateful for it all.
I love living so close to work. On days like this I am so grateful for the short commute that I have and I appreciate that others do not have that luxury. I am blessed and thankful!
The weather has been chilly lately. I am grateful for heat at the office, so I can still wear short sleeves and be warm. I am grateful for coming home to a warm house every day. It’s when we have weather like this that I truly think about appreciating what it is like to have heat.
Casey and I both received gratitude flags for Christmas, so on new years we will write down our dreams, celebrations, hopes, and thoughts of gratitude for the new year. I love the idea and cant wait to do it every year from now on =)
Casey and his family have so many traditions around Christmas it puts a smile on my face. Casey’s mom always sends us Christmas cookies to decorate since they would always do them each year together. It was fun to still be able to take part in those traditions even though we were not all together on Christmas.
I am grateful for the peaceful silence of snowfall. I love watching the snow in the mornings while I sit with Sheri and have coffee. I love the tone it sets for a peaceful mind, I am grateful for being able to enjoy reading in the morning watching the beauty and enjoying the calm.
